Art Corner Afterschool Studio Program

Welcome to Art Corner Studio’s Afterschool Creative Learning Program!
We provide a safe and inspiring space where elementary and middle school students can finish homework, explore creativity, and build new skills after school.
Our program combines professional art classes, hands-on crafts, academic support, strategy games, and physical movement, helping students develop creativity, focus, and confidence in a structured and enjoyable environment.
Program Schedule:                          Monday–Friday | 4:00–6:00 PM
Early drop-off: 3:30 PM      Late pick-up:    6:15 PM
Location: 2739 Unit A, Plymouth Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48105Students arrive via school bus (if available) or parent drop-off and follow a carefully planned schedule designed to support creativity, academic success, and healthy movement in a positive studio environment.

 What Students Will Do
​1️⃣ Art & Creative Time
  • Guided drawing and painting sessions led by professional art instructors
  • Hands-on craft projects, including paper, clay, and mixed media and a lot different craft.
  • Students rotate through different craft stations, learning techniques and completing projects weekly
2️⃣ Homework & Academic Support
  • Each student receives individualized attention from teachers in core subjects
  • Staff assist students with homework, projects, and extra learning exercises
  • Helps students develop organization, focus, and study skills 
3️⃣ Physical Activity & Movement
  • 20–30 minutes of guided exercise or games
  • Indoor or outdoor options depending on weather
  • Activities designed to promote fitness, coordination, and teamwork

 Staff & Supervision
  • Professional art instructors with teaching experience
  • Academic support from teachers in various subjects
  • Small group instruction ensures each student receives personalized guidance
  • Safe and welcoming environment where students can grow confidence and creativity

 Transportation
  • School bus drop-off may be available from select schools
  • Parent pick-up is also welcome 

 Tuition All art materials included.
  • $550 / 4 weeks (monthly)
  • Weekly Options:
    • $145 per week – Monday to Friday
    • $60 per week – Tuesday & Thursday
    • $90 per week – Monday, Wednesday & Friday
  • Flexible Options: Flexible weekly enrollment available
    • Pick any 2 days: $65 per week
    • Drop-in: $35 per day

  • Space is limited to ensure quality supervision and instruction

3:50–4:10    Check-in + snack + quiet organization
4:10–5:00 (45minutes)
Academic Time / Homework Support (Chinese, Math, English reading & writing, AI basics, or school assignments)
5:00–5:20 (20 minutes)
Movement & Physical Activity
Indoor or outdoor games depending on weather
5:20–6:00 (60 minutes)
Art & Creative Studio Projects: On professional art class days, the art session extends to 80 minutes with schedule adjustments.

5:20–6:00  Computer animation or digital art (small groups)

🧮 Tuesday — Math Enrichment & Logical Thinking
4:10–5:00  Singapore Math (small group instruction)
5:00–5:20  Movement / active games
5:20–6:00  Chess, go, logic games...

🤖 Wednesday — AI & Digital Creativity & home work help
4:10–4:50  Introduction to AI
(Prompt basics, image generation, and creative exploration)
5:00–5:20  Outdoor movement and exercise
5:20–6:00  School homework support + English speaking practice 

💻 Thursday — Professional Drawing & Painting (80 minutes)
4:10–4:50  English reading, writing, and vocabulary
4:50-6:10  Professional drawing & painting class (80 minutes)

🎨 Friday — Creative Project Day / Clay
4:10–5:00  Singapore Math/School homework support 
5:00–5:20  Outdoor movement and exercise
5:20–6:00  Clay, crafts, creative projects, or student presentations

​Flexible Learning Options
As the program grows, students may be able to choose from different activity stations based on their interests, such as drawing, digital art, crafts, chess, or creative projects.
Age Groups
Lower Group: Ages 6–8       Upper Group: Ages 9–12
Older Group students may also explore:
• Beginner Blender & 3D modeling
• AI creativity tools
• Advanced art techniques
 Late pick-up:    6:15 PM
After hours $80 per month or $10 per day

 Why We Created This Program
  • Our afterschool program is designed to support both students and parents by providing a structured, creative, and productive environment after school.

  • Many children go home tired after a long school day. In our program, students can complete their homework with teacher support before going home, which helps reduce stress for families and allows parents and children to enjoy more relaxed family time in the evening.

  • At the same time, we believe that after school should not only be about homework. Children also need opportunities to develop creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving skills. That is why our program combines art, academic enrichment, strategy games, technology learning, and physical activity.

  • Through activities such as drawing, painting, digital art, chess and strategy games, math thinking, and AI creativity, students develop important life skills including:

  •  Creative thinking and artistic expression
  •  Logical reasoning and problem solving
  •  Focus, patience, and independent learning
  •  Communication and teamwork

  • We also include daily movement and outdoor activities to help students stay active, improve coordination, and protect their eyes after spending time in school classrooms.

  • Our goal is to create a place where students can finish their homework, learn new skills, build confidence, and enjoy learning in a fun and supportive environment.

  • We hope this program helps children grow academically, creatively, and socially, while also making daily routines easier and more convenient for parents.
