2025 Scholastic Art Awards Results Are In!
We’re thrilled to announce the outstanding results of the 2025 Scholastic Art Awards!
Our students' hard work and creativity truly shined this year.
And a very special congratulations to our student Haneul Park who received a National Gold Medal — one of the highest honors in the entire Scholastic Art Awards program. We are incredibly proud of this achievement!

 Congratulations to our two Best of Show Portfolio winners: "Reminiscing Korea" and "Themes of Fear"!
Out of five Best of Show Portfolios awarded, two were created by students from our studio — an amazing achievement!
This year, we submitted 146 works, including 6 full portfolios, and received:
  • 🎖 2 Best of Show Portfolios + 1 American Vision Nominee
  • 🥇 1 Gold Portfolio
  • 🥈 1 Silver Portfolio
  • 🎗 1 Honorable Mention Portfolio

About Kristen YKristen partnered with her friend Mild to create the captivating animated short film "GASLIGHT", showcasing their storytelling brilliance and animation skills. Today, Kristen is a talented Story Artist at Netflix Feature Animation, crafting compelling visuals for audiences worldwide.

🎨 Doctors' and Medical Students' Event at Art Corner Studio​

Last night, we had the pleasure of hosting an inspiring Doctors' and Medical Students' Event in collaboration with the University of Michigan Medical Arts Program. The evening showcased how art transcends boundaries, fostering creativity and interdisciplinary learning among healthcare professionals and students.
Participants explored artistic techniques, shared perspectives, and connected through the universal language of art, proving that creativity plays a vital role in both medicine and self-expression.

🎨 Traditional Chinese Rooster Painting with Greenhill School

We had the pleasure of hosting a wonderful painting session with our students from Greenhill School, where we explored the beauty of traditional Chinese rooster painting. Even though it was their first time trying this unique art form, the students did an outstanding job and created beautiful, vibrant works of art.
It was a fantastic opportunity to immerse ourselves in Chinese art traditions and witness the students' creativity blossom through this new experience.

🎨 Meet Our Distinguished Alumni! 🎓

We are thrilled to introduce several of our accomplished alumni who have either attended or are currently enrolled in prestigious universities and art schools. These remarkable individuals have generously agreed to share their insights and experiences, providing invaluable guidance to Art Corner students and parents on their educational journey.
Here's a glimpse of our distinguished alumni:
Katherine Wang – A graduate of Washtenaw International High School, Katherine is now pursuing her education at Yale University.
Malak Elshafei – Another graduate of Washtenaw International High School, Malak is currently attending the University of Pennsylvania.
Betty Hu – A proud graduate of Pioneer High School, Betty is embarking on her academic journey at Columbia University.
Karen Guang – Graduated from Greenhills School, Karen is now a part of the Rhode Island School of Design community.
Karen Jiang – Formerly from Detroit Country Day School, Karen is now a student at the Rhode Island School of Design as well.
Ying Cai – Ying is a current student in a dual-degree program at RISD and Brown University. She's generously offered to share her experiences and insights to assist you in your art school applications.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain insights into the art school application process and get your questions answered by individuals who have successfully navigated it. We highly encourage all students and parents to take advantage of this unique opportunity to learn from these accomplished individuals! 🌟

We recently hosted a heartwarming and creative clay event with our students' mothers, and it was a huge success! The experience of creating art together was not only a fantastic bonding opportunity but also filled with fun and positive energy. The enthusiasm in the room was truly infectious, and it was wonderful to see everyone getting involved, laughing, and exploring their creative sides.
