Scholastic Art Competition

Annually, our budding artists eagerly participate in the Scholastic Art Competition, a platform that celebrates their unbridled creativity. Unlike traditional competitions, Scholastic Art provides students with the freedom to express themselves without specific prompts or guidelines.
In this competition, students are encouraged to explore any medium and style that ignites their artistic passion. The result? A collection of profoundly imaginative and remarkable artworks crafted by our young talents. We take immense pride in their outstanding achievements and commend their artistic journey.

2025 Scholastic Art Awards

That’s fantastic news! Congratulations to Haneul Park and Cedar Adams on their outstanding achievements in the 2025 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards! Earning a National Gold Medal for a portfolio and multiple Silver Medals is a testament to their dedication, creativity, and exceptional artistic talent.
With nearly 110,000 teens submitting more than 310,000 original works of art and writing, this recognition is truly remarkable. Their success is incredibly inspiring, and we wish them continued growth and even more accomplishments in their artistic journeys! 🎉

The results for the 2025 Southeast Michigan & Thumb Scholastic Art Awards are out! A huge congratulations to our two Best of Show Portfolio winners, "Reminiscing Korea" and "Themes of Fear"! Out of five portfolios awarded this honor, two are from our studio! This year, we submitted 146 works, including 6 portfolios, and received: 2 Best of Show Portfolios, 1 Gold, 1 Silver, and 1 Honorable Mention Portfolio, one American Vision winner.
26 Gold Keys, 21 Silver Keys 21 Honorable Mentions (including 4 Gold and 2 Honorable from out-of-state students).

Gold Key Art Portfolio Winner, also BEST OF SHOW “Reconstructed”

The American Vision Award winners are chosen as the “Best of Show” from all of the artwork entered in this year’s Southeastern Michigan Regional competition. Each regional program across the country selects the five most outstanding works of art from their Gold Key recipients. These five young artists represent the region on the national level as American Vision nominees. A national panel selects one of the nominated works from each region as the American Vision Award Recipient for 2015.
