Our individualized instruction allows new students to join our classes at any time. Each class has a duration of 1 hour and 20 minutes. While most students opt for one lesson per week, those seeking more artistic immersion can schedule additional lessons, subject to availability. We recommend that students in Grade 7 and above consider taking at least two classes per week to adequately prepare their college art portfolios.
Payment Information: All fees are required to be paid in advance. As your child approaches the end of their current set of classes, you will receive a reminder to pay for the next 16 lessons. If your student has made art supply purchases from us, totaling less than $20, during this period, this fee will be included in your reminder. For larger purchases during the semester, you will receive a separate bill at the time of purchase.

Course Overview:
- Students aged 5-6 will explore pencil sketching, learning to draw animals and cartoons while mastering basic lines and sharp curves. The goal is to foster an interest in drawing and develop a concept of 3-D space, as well as foundational drawing skills. Oil pastels will be used to help students study color charts and practice color mixing.
- Students aged 7-11 will delve into basic painting and drawing techniques. They will develop skills in sketching, using oil pastels, color pencils, acrylic painting, and cartooning to ignite their passion for art. This will also aid them in improving their pencil drawing abilities, enhancing their understanding of lighting, perspective, and color principles.
- Students aged 12-19 will concentrate on refining their fundamental drawing and painting techniques. They will explore various mediums, including pencil sketching, soft pastels, markers, pen and ink, color pencils, charcoal, watercolor, acrylic, and oil painting. This age group will be encouraged to discover new ideas, expand their creative potential, and explore more advanced art theories while also working on their college portfolios.
- We warmly welcome adult students of all ages! Whether you are 19 or 100 years old, our course will focus on teaching you basic drawing and painting techniques in a fun and engaging way.
After Hour Studio Use Policy:
At Art Corner Studio, we strive to make our studio hours as flexible as possible. Here's a breakdown of our after-class studio hours policy:
Same Day Studio Use: More Than 4 Classes/Day:
If you stay for more than four classes in that day, the after-class studio hours are free.
Same Day Studio Use: Less Than 4 Classes/Day:
If you attend fewer than four classes in that day, there will be one additional class fee for after-class studio use.
Different Day Studio Use:
For individuals who would like to use the studio on days that they do not have class,
there is a flat fee of $150.00 per month or of one class fee for each day.
These policies are designed to accommodate various schedules and ensure that our studio is a welcoming space for all artists,
whether they attend classes regularly or prefer to use the studio independently.
